From a warm, south-facing slope, the 2018 Cornas la Louvee is super ripe, jammed with cola and dried-fruit character (dates and figs). It's full-bodied and velvety in texture, with bright acids on the finish. I suspect a strict barrel selection will result in a better showing from bottle, but for the moment, this has to be considered a disappointment.
