Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2016 Chateau la Marzelle, Jacqueline Sioen and Philippe Genevey's estate in Saint Emilion, has a rich and quite decadent bouquet that is more like a 2009 than a 2016! Pushed a little too much in the winery perhaps? The palate is sweet and candied on the entry with thick chewy tannins, but it comes across as rather heavy-handed compared to its peers, at least at this primordial juncture. The finish felt a little dry and I worry that this underwent too much extraction?
